Pro Women Snowboarders Reveal How Snowboarding Impacts Their Lives
Posted August 25th by Womens Snowboarding Enthusiast in Womens Snowboarding StoriesWhen I first started snowboarding in middle school, snowboarding was an escape that I couldn’t find anywhere else. My parents were in the middle of separation and divorce, I wasn’t getting along with many kids at schools and I was doing my best to help raise my brother who didn’t get much guidance from my parents.
This isn’t a sob story, just a glimpse at what snowboarding meant to me. It meant peace, happiness and acceptance. I could spend all day on the slopes and be myself. And I guess that’s what snowboarding has meant to me.
A Burton video put out last season showcases a number of pro women snowboarders talking about how snowboarding as impacted their lives. Take a look, and if you feel like it, share how snowboarding has affected your life.
